YouTuber Jack Doherty Arrested in Fort Lauderdale on Domestic Battery Charge

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — YouTuber and social media influencer Jack Doherty was arrested Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge after police responded to a reported domestic dispute at a home in Fort Lauderdale.

Fort Lauderdale police were called to a residence in the 1400 block of Southwest 5th Court in the Riverside Park neighborhood around 11:56 a.m. Officers said Doherty, 22, and an unidentified woman got into a physical dispute inside the home. Police said the woman was not injured. Doherty was taken into custody and booked into the Broward County Main Jail.

The charge is listed as misdemeanor domestic battery under Florida law. Jail records showed no bond listed as of Friday evening in some reports; other accounts listed bond as $0.00. Details of what led to the dispute have not been publicly released by police.

Sources close to Doherty told TMZ that he acted in self-defense. Police have not confirmed that account. His mugshot reportedly showed a cut on his cheek.

Doherty, known for prank and stunt videos, has more than 15 million YouTube subscribers and a large following on TikTok and Instagram. This is his second Florida arrest in less than a year. In November 2025, Miami Beach police arrested him after he allegedly blocked traffic while filming content. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance (amphetamine), possession of marijuana, and resisting an officer without violence. That case was later resolved through a deferred-prosecution program, according to court records cited by multiple outlets.

Police have not identified the woman involved in Friday’s incident. Doherty has not issued a public statement through official channels as of the latest reports. The case remains pending.
