Jason Priestley said some longtime friends grew jealous and tried to undercut him after Beverly Hills, 90210 made him famous, E! News reported.

Speaking on the Still Here Hollywood podcast on Oct. 26, the actor said he had to cut a handful of people out of his life, including friends he expected to stay close to for good.

He did not name anyone, so the who and the what remain his to tell, while the familiar part is how quickly a promotion of any size can change the people around it.
